What we believe is Biblically based.

What We Believe

Statement Of Faith

* The Bible is the infallible Word of God and is accurate in its truth and history.

* True believers live under unconditional eternal security so far as their salvation is concerned.  We didn't/couldn't do enough to deserve our salvation so we cannot do anything to lose it.

*  Sin has consequences that will be paid for here.  Sin cannot keep you from heaven.  Under grace, the true believer will not want to be part of sin.  Grace is a much higher standard for life than the Law could ever be.

*  The Bible will be the only reliable source of teaching for the church. Any other materials used for the education and edification of its members must submit to Biblical authority.

*  There is one God as found in the Bible and as reflected in His many Biblical Names.

*  Jesus Christ is the only way to obtain salvation. One must believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus was crucified for their sins, died, was buried, and rose again on the third day to be their personal Lord and Savior.

*  All men, no matter their situation or belief, have the right to salvation if they so choose.

*  Believers should be baptized by full submersion after salvation as a symbol of what they believe.

*  Communion is a rite for every believer and should be participated in as often as possible.

*  The baptism in the Holy Ghost is for today and is available to all men with the principal evidence being a powerful witness for Christ and will be accompanied with speaking in other tongues as a prayer language.

The Manifestations of the Spirit discussed in 1 Corinthians 12 are for the church today and should be practiced freely under Scriptural context and guidelines with the Spirit pouring these out as He wills.

*  God heals today and Elders will lay hands on the sick (at the sick person's request) anointing them with oil according to James 5:14-15.

* Marriage as defined in the Holy Scriptures is between a man and a woman.  Relationships outside of this proper well defined relationship, no matter how well meaning or intended, shall not be recognized as legitimate Biblical relationships.  We do not recognize any other relationship as "marriage".  We believe marriage was orchestrated by God to create an environment for the procreation of children into a healthy home that would teach them to respect their father and mother while glorifying God for life.

* Biblical sexuality can only be defined within the confines of marriage thus any form of sexuality outside of marriage as defined above is considered unacceptable.  These include: living together without marriage, adultery, fornication, masterbation, homosexual/lesbian behaviors, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and the use of pornography.  The Bible, not governments, denominations, church leaders, civil leaders or judges, determine what a marriage or an acceptable sexuality is. The marriage bed of a married man and his wife is undefiled.  Any sexual behavior outside of the marriage bed is regarded Biblically as an unauthorized use of God's gift to a married couple.  We believe sexual relations were given to mankind to enjoy each other intimately with the primary purpose to procreate after our own kind.  Sexuality outside of this is sin as there can be no faith to produce children who will then procreate once in a proper relationship as they have learned from their parents.

Biblical Principles That Guide Our Church Government

*  God’s people should be prosperous in every thing they attempt.

*  People are the most important asset to the ministry outside of the Word of God.

*  Generosity will take precedence over all other investments.

*  Elders will have displayed a ministry gift and must meet the guidelines as stated in 1 Timothy 3. They will be ordained openly for life or until they resign their position or fail to maintain the Biblical standard.

*  Deacons will be ordained for the performance of duties under Acts 6 and qualifications of 1 Timothy 3.

*  Worship will be freely expressed under any form so long as it has Biblical foundation to support the manner of expression.

*  The Pastor is an office of leadership within the body and is responsible to serve the body, not be served by the body.

*  The Body is a collective form of leadership within the community; therefore our actions will serve the community under Christian principals.

*  Everyone in the body is called to perform some manner of ministry and has unique and special gifts from God for the service of the body as a whole.

*  All things including worship services, Sunday School, activities, and special events will be conducted decently and in order.

*  Sin by a member, Pastor, Elder, or deacon will be dealt with according to Matthew 18:15-20 and 1 John 5:14-20.  Everyone deserves mercy and all have sinned.

*  Ministries may be started by any member with the approval of the Pastor or Elders. All ministries must have evangelistic opportunities, edifying content, Biblical security, decency, and morality.

* The principal support of the church will be tithes and offerings received from members or any other interested persons or organizations. Fund raisers for special activities, events, or outings will not be included so long as they are not taxing to the members or manipulative in nature or presentation.
