Born To Bless In The Beginning

Posted on: December 9, 2019

In this message the point is made that God never intended or had a desire to judge man and be forced to deliver punishment for man's failure to obey.  In the beginning He created everything to perfection.  The firmament was created on the second day.  God divided the water from the water.  The waters above were later used in Genesis 6-9 as the flood waters used to destroy all of life as was then present on planet earth.  The judgement fell once and will never fall again in such a manner as per God's promise.  We see Him declare it when He creates the rainbow.  The second day is the only day he does not call good.  Could this be because the firmament is the same root word used for beaten as in beaten gold.  The gold used to cover the shittim wood of the ark of the covenant was of one beaten work.  It is representative of Christ humanity covered by His deity.  It was His deity that was a beaten work on the cross.  A picture of Jesus finished work to redeem mankind is found throughout the creation account.  Jesus was born to bless all humanity through His death and resurrection.  When He finally rest on the seventh day is when He is crowned in Heaven as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

John 1:1-3 NKJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2  He was in the beginning with God.  3  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Colossians 1:16-17 NKJV  16)  For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.  17)  And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Revelation 10:5-6 NKJV  The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven  6)  and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer,

 Genesis 1:1 NKJV

 Genesis 1:2 NKJV

The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Tohu and bohu It was lying in waste and was empty

Genesis 1:3 NKJV

 Genesis 1:4 NKJV

And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

 Genesis 1:5 NKJV

 John 1:4 NKJV

 John 1:5 NKJV

 John 1:6 NKJV

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

 John 1:7 NKJV

This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

 John 1:8 NKJV

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

 John 1:9 NKJV

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

 John 1:14 NKJV

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

 John 1:15 NKJV

 John 1:17 NKJV

 Genesis 1:7 NKJV

Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.

Genesis 1:8 NKJV

And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

A firmament – A solid expanse as if beaten out.  The root word is rahkaw which is used of the single solid layer of beaten gold used to cover the Ark of the Covenant.  It divides the waters from the waters.  Yeshuah’s diety was beaten around a human form, shittim wood in order to create the ark.  Water in Scripture is representative of judgement and the consequential cleansing.  Water is also necessary for life.  Yeshuah has water that gives life.  It is cleansing and refreshing that is produced in the one who drinks life.

Ephesians 5:25-26 NKJV  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,  26  that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

Revelation 22:17 NKJV  And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

 2 Peter 3:4 NKJV

and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

 2 Peter 3:5 NKJV

For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,

 2 Peter 3:6 NKJV

by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.

 2 Peter 3:7 NKJV

But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

God does not call the second day when He divides the water from the water good. The firmament or the solid divider of the water from the water is the Word of God. The water is supposed to in its cleansing process be good but the cleansing when separated from the vital hydration it provides brings judgement. Too much cleansing power destroys and erodes.

Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It is the Word of God that is supposed to hold together the human spirit and soul and body. God held back judgement in the original creation as there was no knowledge of evil. The water Yeshuah offers cleanses but doesn’t judge. It nourishes and replenishes but doesn’t punish or withhold blessing.

Genesis 1:9-10 NKJV  Then God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so.  10)  And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:11-13 NKJV  Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so.  12)  And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.  13)  So the evening and the morning were the third day.

Genesis 1:17-19 NKJV  God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,  18)  and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.  19)  So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Genesis 1:21-23 NKJV  So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.  22)  And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."  23)  So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Genesis 1:25-28 NKJV  And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.  26)  Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."  27)  So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  28)  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Genesis 1:31 NKJV  Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
