Velocity Youth Ministry
It is an exciting youth group within Messiah Community Church.
Velocity youth group is for grades 6-12. We meet on Sunday mornings for a teaching, as well as some fun time. Our youth meet to have a straight forward and frank discussion of the Word as well as to pray for one another. The discussion is up to date and teaches the relevancy of Christ in the modern world of the 21st century.
Additionally we have other scheduled events where the teens can get to know each other while having fun. Velocity Youth has a yearly canoe trip, camping and hiking trip (when weather appropriate) and other outdoor activities. They also get together for game nights, movie nights or other fun activities.
Velocity - "Rate of change of position in relationship to time; Rate of change of motion in a particular direction in relationship to time."
Our youth are going to change rapidly to meet the challenges of a changing society to be all that God intends them to be despite the pull and pressures of this world.
Our Youth Ministries is about bringing youth into relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Ghost. To have a solid relationship with God is to know who you are and what your purpose is here on earth. They will reach a nation for Christ and impact their world with their faith.
